Winter in South Tyrol

Skiers of course swear by winter. Thanks to the snow-reliable winter, Sorafurcia at Kronplatz (2275m) is one of the best ski resorts in the alpine region. We never have too little snow for skiing - our solution is compact snow! The "white gold", as we sometimes call it, comes from 190 snow cannons and secures the skiing adventure on 190 km of slopes at the Kronplatz skiing resort.

Sorafurcia and the Kronplatz-Resort are located at the bottom of the most beautiful of the four valley slopes. Hence, the ski feeling is secured - you couldn't be closer to the slopes! Yet, our village is not only a beautiful spot for skiers, also cross-country skiers find everything they long for.

In summer, Sorafurcia and the Kronplatz-Resort provide the ideal starting point to the different valleys. Within half an hour you can reach the Anterselva Valley, renowned as a venue for the yearly biathlon world cup. Snow-shoe hikes, toboggan runs, ice-skating or special excursions like driving a bob down the toboggan run in Cortina – the choice is yours. Hence - firsthand winter feeling!
