Mountain-biking around Kronplatz
Point of departure for this bike tour is Sorafurcia. From here you cycle to Valdaora di Sotto – Riscone, S. Stefano and Moso and via the narrow and steep hiking path no. 1 to Sares.
Here, cyclists take the slightly ascending panoramic asphalt road to Marebbe with a view of the northern side of the Sasso delle Croce Mountain and of the Sasso della Putia Mountain in the Dolomites. Even though the distance from Marebbe to Kronplatz is not very far, this section is very demanding and requires a lot of strength and stamina.
From Marebbe (1284 m) the route continues rather steeply to Cianorè (1365 m) and Biei Daete (1485 m) and from here onwards on a narrow and steep hiking path (no. 2) and forest path to Col de Frades (1825 m) and to the Pozza del Cervo pond (1993 m). From the pond onwards, the path leads along the ridge for about 1km until leading into a wide forest path to the top of Kronplatz (2275 m).
Once you reach the top of Kronplatz you can enjoy the downhill run back to your holiday home.
