Mountain-biking in the Fanes Reign in the Dolomites
This is probably one of the most difficult, but also one of the most impressive and unforgettable cycling tours in the Fanes-Senes-Baries Nature Park in the Dolomites. From the Pederü Guesthouse you cycle directly into the legendary Fanes Reign with its clear, blue-green alpine lakes (Lé Piciodel, Lé Vert, Lé de Limo), embedded in unmistakable alpine scenery with several mountains of 3,000 metres of altitude (Cima Dieci, Lavarela, Conturines).
The so-called peace path leads past the peak of Vallon Bianco, Furcia Rossa and Monte Castello Mountains. The small wooden bridge further down in the Fanes Valley reminds us of the venturesome jump of the Gran Bracun, the knight Franz Wilhelm of Asch-Prack, who jumped over the scary canyon in Punt Alt with his horse in order to flee from his enemies. There are plenty of huts to rest along the route.
